I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead. Note 2

2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God.

3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard,

and hold fast, and repent.

If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief,

and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you. Note 3

4 You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white: for they are worthy. Note 4

The promise:

5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; [the wedding garment of Christ's righteousness] Note 5

and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.

6 He that has an ear,

let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Note 6

and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God:

and I will write upon him My new name. Note 12
